Netflix hosted their national premiere event for their comedy-adventure animated film "In Your Dreams" at the iconic Graumans Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles.
THE PROJECT
Working with Rock + Paper, I was tasked with creating a extremely wide range of small format and digital graphics for this premiere, including food and drink menus and tent cards, reserved table and seating signage, die-cut vinyl cutouts, credentials, uniforms, bar, DJ booth and event support booth vinyl wraps, large posters, directional wayfinding signs, digital theater art, bus shelters, and a broadcast wall, as well as other small pieces of ephemera and gifts.
THE APPROACH
To take the various key artworks provided by Netflix and bring them to life to support a high profile premiere event. The event took place in two parts—the pre-screening red carpet event, where the performers were photographed and interviewed, and the post-screening event where the red carpet area was converted into a large lounge area with interactive 3D sets (credit to Ryan Leegate for 3D set piece creation) and stations where attendees could design their own pillowcases, have some ice cream, and experience the dreamy atmosphere of the In Your Dreams premiere event.
THE GOAL
To create graphics in support of the event that attendees could interact with and in some cases have as keepsakes of the event. Making sure to create designs that evoke the dream-like atmosphere of the film, while creating functional event signage to help direct attendees through the event.
